I am not sure if the comma was meant after the word “women,” but because it’s there I have to wonder if you really mean to say that white women “have never encountered a problem in their pampered and privileged existences.” I’ll chalk it up to a typo. Maybe.

While I think I understand what you are trying to say, it seems that we have a lot of serious problems in this world, and especially in this country right now. With Trump promising to be a dictator on his first day in office and pardoning all the criminals who took part in an insurrection and voter fraud, plus all the other insane things he stands for, it’s curious that so many people are lost in trivialities instead of banding together to prevent an overthrow of our republic. Maybe they can’t face the prospect of a dystopian society knocking at the door.

People should be free to express themselves without harming others, but I find that so many people who are upset about racism are being racist themselves. Are all white people bad? No. Are all Black people bad? No. Are all Jews bad? No again. How about Muslims? No. Hindus? No again. Christians? No. Are there bad people within these groups? Of course.

No social, racial, religious, national, or ethnic group is, de facto, bad or good, and yet too many people act and speak as if they are.

Is it possible trying not to be divisive when being divisive? Using the words “white women” or “white people” is as racist as any other generalization. Is this possible to see? It is demeaning and insulting to a large group of people doing good in this world who happen not to be in the minority. To have light skin has nothing to do with marginalizing or being racist to others; that’s crazy talk.

The great irony in your article is that this sentence is racist: “Racism is inherent to all white folks, like gravity.”

How can we ever get out of this mire unless we stop making gross generalizations about groups of people?
