Well, it's brave of you to share your feelings.

I personally do not understand grown men playing video games. Life is way too short to spend it blowing up castles and chasing giant monsters. It doesn't make any sense to me. In fact, it is by all means an addiction. And as with every addiction the one who is addicted just won't admit to his addiction.

I would also venture to say that a great number of today's young men are very immature and are not fit to be life partners. They are self-centered, selfish, and arrogant. What makes them this way? Certainly our fast-paced, money-driven, greed infested culture has much to do with conditioning the mind.

It is no secret that the brain is conditioned by the environment and the way we think. If we have constant reinforcement that we can live without relationships and interdependency then the result is that we become people who are antisocial and self-centered. As it is, the sense of self is an illusion created out of an accretion of thoughts. So the self will become whatever its thoughts dictate. And it will deny, avoid, or fight against being told it needs to accommodate the needs of the significant other and, offspring, and so on.
