This is very thought-provoking article. Not being tech-oriented, I am at a loss for what's going on. I can only say that at one point I thought that medium was going to be a lucrative and rewarding platform. And then it wasn't, with my earnings dropping from a little more than a thousand dollars down to fifty in a month.

I definitely have a niche market for what I write these days, but Dr Yildiz's articles should be enjoying a large market share.

I have no idea what’s going on with medium, and after you put your mind to this puzzle along with others who know what they're doing, it seems you are as stumped as I am.

And this doesn’t make sense: You wonder whether an article on STDs may be too sensitive, but the fact remains there are articles on medium that are quite explicitly sexual that seem to do well. And there are lots of articles dealing with complex topics that have been reduced to racist conclusions; these seem to be doing well. It would be nice to get to the bottom of it all.

Having been in the natural healthcare field for more than 30 years I find that your articles are very helpful. There are many puzzling and confusing health issues and diseases with conflicting opinions, but your research helps to make sense of what’s going on. I wish I had discovered your writings years ago. Medium needs to know how valuable they are, but I frankly don't know what medium is — just a machine running on its own or a platform with real people making important decisions.

I fail to see how your articles are not important — more important than most of what is to be found on medium. It’s not often that a writer these days offers quality substantiation and sources.

Maybe medium has taken a good look at their bottom line and figured out they were paying out more than they want to. Or maybe that an errant idea. In any case it would help if you could get someone to explain things to you, a warm body who is sensitive to your issue. I can't see medium being able to slight its popular and intelligent writers for long without experiencing a mass exodus.
