This is an interesting article. I’m reminded of Jared Diamond’s Guns, Germs, and Steel in which he shows how hotter climates have yielded fewer advancements in terms of building dominant civilizations.

Maybe the saying "hot under the collar" has a deeper meaning, with the heat being the causative factor rather than the person who is hot. I don't know.
