This article is simple, because the problem and the solution are simple. You have cut through the sky-high mass of opinions and documentation and psychological studies and you have arrived at a presentation putting our entire situation in context: Will the ignorance, neuroses, and idiocy of half the citizens prevail and undo what is already hanging by a frayed thread?

The world has seen this undoing of civility and a progressive society before, and it NEVER has turned out well. But I suppose this takes at least some measure of knowledge of history to grasp. Even more, it takes the kind of insight that can learn from history. Despite the fist pounding and pontificating of our real experts who warn of the dangers of Trump and all who support him, half of our nation is at best only paying attention to the fist hitting the desk.
