It seems pretty obvious what this song is about. I have interacted with many individuals who share the attitudes presented. It's a very duplicitous perspective dripping with machismo and Trumpian values.

"Aldean condemns those who "sucker punch someone on a sidewalk," "carjack an old lady," "cuss out a cop," "stomp on," or "burn" the American flag in his song."

Now consider a few of many, many examples of the duplicitousness:

• Waving the American flag while sacking the halls of Congress and trying to overthrow the government;

• Waving the Nazi flag while pretending to believe in the values of this nation;

• Assaulting and threatening to assault people, as well as advocating assaulting people, who disagree with their twisted view of governance and values;

• Voting for a sociopathic president who advocates sexual assault and has been found guilty of rape; and who has called for sucker punching people even at his own rally. Supporting Trump is supporting racism, disrespect, misogyny, anarchy, and violence.

A segment of this country has taken the small town ideals nationally in their politics and actions.

When I hear little town values I hear the echoes of limited minds in fear of "the other."
