I see your point with this article, but there are several major issues that are not being considered:

1. Hamas uses innocent people as human shields.

2. Hamas has committed horrific atrocities and yet protests seem to be ignoring this fact and focusing on Israel instead.

3. If Israel does not respond then the nation will next be visited by war on all fronts. How do we know? History tells us that this is what occurs.

4. War is not pretty. It is terrible and terrifying and innocent people get wounded and killed. Hamas has not considered this in anything it does, any action it takes, any rhetoric it spews.

5. Israel always has its back against the wall, because the Arabs can lose every war and fight another day. If Israel loses then that's the end forever.

6. This is a major point: If you do not live in Israel under constant threat of killing and war then are you in a position to speculate what Israel should do?

7. Israel is held to a standard that Hamas, Hezbollah, and the nations and organizations supporting them is not held to.

8. It's a big problem when people sit in their comfy homes and believe they know how best to respond to a terrorist attack and warfare.

Having said all of this, of course the collateral deaths and destruction are terrible and sorrowful. Of course they are. But since the very first day that Israel was attacked the world went into an anti-Israel mode, which is quite typical and predictable. So one of the major questions is what is really the truth about what is going on, because most certainly the Arab world puts out untold amounts of propaganda, including staged videos, photos from unrelated events, and so on. Why aren't these considered as part of the problem according to your questionnaire?

War is a horrific thing. Human beings, since their very beginnings, have never found a way to settle differences without violence. This speaks to the way that they have been psychologically conditioned to consider "the other" as separate and disconnected. This speaks not only to the attackers against Israel, but also to Israel's response (in part at least), as well as the response by the world against Jews, as well as those taking a stance against Muslims. It is all insanity, but I find it very difficult to see the point in what you are trying to do; there are just way too many variables, and we as people living in the comfort of our own homes and safe in our particular cities, lack the information, insight, and experience to speculate.
