I see where you are going, but the problem is that Bob does not exist. This the fundamental thing I am talking about. There is no Bob. Bob is a construct, an idea based on beliefs, memories, information, and inculcation, not fact. The idea of Bob can be unraveled so that there is nothing left of Bob. I am not speaking in the physical sense, but the idea of who we take ourselves to be.

Also, when you use the word belief, as you know, you get into another area of contestation. To believe something means you do not know. If you knew it wouldn't be a belief. And this is what Bob is made out of — belief, which is the belief that he is Bob with a wife, a job, a religion, a history, relationships, things he loves or hates, and on and on. Remove all of these nonphysical things and there is no more Bob.

There really is no Bob. There is only consciousness acting and the brain and mind of someone we call Bob taking all the credit and blame.
