I liked this little slice of insight. Thanks for sharing.

You wrote: "These are four things I am always willing to be. What are some of yours?"

I am willing to be kind.

I am willing to listen.

I am willing to search for answers.

I am willing to take a very close look at the sense of self that causes suffering in this world

I am willing to be authentic

What I am not willing to do any longer is:

Sit in an auditorium or room and listen to a so-called expert or guru pontificate;

Listen to someone pretend to tell me who I am;

Believe in anything at all, because I've learned that beliefs do not serve me;

Live a secondhand life according to someone else's idea of truth;

Judge people according to their race, gender, ethnicity, or choice of dessert toppings;

Ignore or trivialize my life experiences

Write or speak about what I do not truly know or understand.

It seems that the "not willing" part of this exercises is far more interesting in certain ways. Maybe you'd like to share your own in an upcoming article.
