I can only say that the Abrahamic religions are mired in a tangled web of nonsense and complications. What is the point of it all? They defy logic and sanity at every turn. To remain sane it is absolutely necessary to pick and choose which parts of the stories and which aspects of God one cares to cherish. What is the necessity of these religious teachings? It would almost seem that the goal is to confuse, confound, and abuse their followers.
