I am not sure what this means: "...Throwing her only child to the wolves, as is the Boomer way,..." Are you saying that all so-called baby boomers abandon their children in a free-for-all? It's really not a valid characterization of a whole generation, is it? It's not my experience with baby boomers, many of whom worked several jobs to put their children through college, purposefully fought in Viet Nam, and built family businesses. Generalizations can be nasty attacks on undeserving people.

Also, you said your real question might have been "Why are you so angry?" I have thought about the MAGA group for quite some time. Yes, they are angry, but so is everyone else. They are angry with progressives and progressives are angry with them. Is this anger really different, or is it just anger due to the way we tend to judge things? Anger is anger; it is only the perspective and belief that makes one kind justified.

I've realized that people just want to be happy regardless of which side of the fence they are sitting on. This doesn't mean, however, that they go about finding happiness in a way that doesn't infringe on other people. So there is always strife, always conflict, and it's enervating.

Some people are just looking for a fight, and I've seen this attitude displayed on all sides of a situation. In fact, I've been the angry guy and it has never gotten me anywhere. I would go so far to say that it's always made things worse. It's all in the attitude, and MAGA people, generally, can be gotten along with. The fact that they have decided to back a criminal, pathological liar, and sociopath is just another level to their belief system — but on a personal level they can actually be decent people.

By reading the comments you can see how anger and conflict is perpetuated. We've had all sorts of icons to learn from — Jesus, Buddha, MLK, Gandhi, and the rest — but we perpetuate the conflict anyway.
