Despite the left's cry for justice and equality, they have turned off a great many Democrats. Voting for Trump is a vote for fascism, but I don't think people think that deeply. Issues that have driven voters away from the Democratic party are things like pronouns, gay rights, protests in favor of an Iranian-backed pro-Palestinian agenda, and so on.

People are confused, ignorant, and searching for their share of the pie. Trump promises the moon, because he is an expert sociopathic con artist and knows how to press their buttons. No amount of facts or logic can sway them from their hapless condition.
